Marshall Fine (Emelin Film Club Host/Curator) is a film/TV critic for Star magazine. Previously he was film critic for the Journal News and national film correspondent for Gannett News Service. His newest book is Accidental Genius: How John Cassavetes Invented American Independent Film, published by Miramax Books. He is a member and three-time chairman of the New York Film Critics Circle. He is at work on a feature documentary about film critic Rex Reed.
